Acknowledging the huge success of Dreams on Wheels, CHETNA initiated new initiative called Dreams on Streets in 2016. Under Dreams on Streets, the major focus lies on children living under, working or begging at traffic signals in Delhi. Our street educators visit such locations every day at a negotiated time to ensure their protection, provide them education, nutrition and emergency medical care. They also deliver professional counselling and life skills trainings for the physical, mental and psychological well-being of children. In its continuous process of working towards a dignified living of street children, CHETNA joined hands with the district administration to form a stakeholders’ committee to combat child beggary.
